Now that our Certified Advocate Summer School is complete with a number of students graduating as Certified Advocates, we are looking towards our Winter Summer School. It will have some new trainers and previous trainers Fortunately the price will remain the same.

Our Board has recently formalized our Core Business. Basically itw already what we do however it is now official. These are the elements of our Core Business below:

• Membership and membership gradings,
• Training and certifying advocates beyond membership recognition,
• Industry engagement and regular consultations with industry,
• Beyond other codes of conduct that members may be subject to developing a code of conduct for all Advocates.

Our administration has been put in place with the appointment of an Executive Officer. Jamie Hogan has taken on this role in an honorary capacity. This role has a specific job specification and is seperate from the duties of the Board Secretary. Jamie's personal office and staff will form our head office or secretariate. The day to day operations of the AIA will now be undertaken from there, under the guidance of the AIA Board.
